COOKIE NEEDS RESCUE!!
Meet Cookie! He is a 3 year old Shih tzu who was turned into the Ft. Lauderdale Animal Care & Adoption Center by his owner on February 3 because the owner did not have time for him. Cookie was very matted and is very weak in the hind quarters- possibly arthritic and suspected luxating patellas. This poor little morsel is weak in the knees and reacts very defensively when touched in that area. The potential to bite for that reason and the medical treatment he will need has kept several adopters from wanting to take poor Cookie home.
