8-29-2011 Dog of The Day Morgan Morgan

Here is Morgan Morgan our full bred Shih Tzu. He is two and a half years old and was the last one of his liter. He weighs in at 13.5 pounds. After putting down our last dog after 15 years and being an empty nester I did not want another dog but my wife qas lonely. The breeder named him Morgan before we even contacted her. And then he was born on our wedding anniversary so I gave up the fight. I fell in love with him at first sight. What a great personality and dog Morgan has turned out to be. My wife was right, he is what we needed.

I have sent several of my favorite pics. I must take at least 5 pics a day of him. He is a fashion model to say the least. He loves to ride in the car. Doesn't matter where he goes as long as he is going. He prefers to set in the backyard in the Sun instead of the house and will do this all day. He is the groomers favorite dog and looks foward to his every three week visits to the doggy spa. Morgan gets real regal for the next couple of days after coming from the groomer and shows his heritage to all during those times. He has a addiction to old socks (see the pic) and will take them from you as soon as you take them off. And of course being a lap dog he will take a good old fashioned belly rub anytime. He is very protective of any of his possesions from his leashes to his bed and kennel or his toys. He will beg for treats and loves to drink cold water. He is a very smart dog as well. They say a dog learns about 200 human words. Well I think Morgan is right there at 200 or more. He is very athletic and can run and jump with the best of dogs. He is not afraid of anything or any size dog. He definetley wants to be the Alpha dog in all situations.
